What is Centre Circle and how do I use it?
Centre Circle is an online referee appointments system, allowing referees, leagues and County FAs to manage appointments and availability in one place.
Whether you're a newly qualified referee or an experienced official, Centre Circle is the easiest way to manage your refereeing commitments.
What can I use Centre Circle for?
Centre Circle allows you to:
Set your availability for appointments.
Apply for available fixtures.
Receive and manage appointments.
Accept or decline appointments.
Submit match reports (where required).
View your upcoming and previous appointments.
What are the benefits of using Centre Circle?
Using Centre Circle makes it easier to:
Find games across multiple competitions.
Receive appointments quickly.
Manage your availability in one place.
Build relationships with Referee Appointments Officers.
Support your referee development by increasing appointment opportunities.
We recommend keeping your account up to date and checking it regularly throughout the season.
Finding games
Many leagues in Sussex advertise appointments through Centre Circle.
To maximise your chances of receiving appointments:
Keep your availability up to date.
Apply for open fixtures regularly.
Respond promptly to appointment offers.
Consider travelling to different areas where possible.
Please note that not all leagues currently use Centre Circle, so you may also need to contact leagues directly to obtain appointments.
Updating your availability
Your availability tells appointments officers when you're able to referee.
Before each weekend, ensure your availability accurately reflects when you can officiate.
If your availability isn't updated, appointments officers may assume you're unavailable and appoint another referee instead.
Match reports
Some competitions require referees to submit match reports through Centre Circle following a fixture.
If a report is required, it should be completed as soon as possible after the match and within any deadlines set by the competition.
If you're unsure whether your league uses Centre Circle match reports, please contact your league or Referee Appointments Officer.
Guardian accounts (Under 18 referees)
If you're under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must be linked to your Centre Circle account.
This helps ensure they receive important communications relating to your appointments and allows appointments officers to contact an appropriate adult where necessary.
If you need to add or update your linked guardian, please contact the Sussex FA Referee Development Team.
MOAS integration
MOAS is operated as a completely separate system to Centre Circle and therefore both must be kept up to date individually.
